Do You Remember?

Do you remember your bed having a surprise on it on Friday afternoon?  How about the next day?  And the next?  …when you went on your Walk to Emmaus?  Something to wear…something to eat…something to lay out and look at…something to mark your Bible with?

Didn’t that make you feel special and loved?  It sure did me.  I love as my reunion group makes little agape projects as we pray for and think about the future pilgrims.

Well we have that opportunity as the East Texas Emmaus Community meets at our Gathering this coming Saturday.  Here’s the details:

Gathering, May 21, 2011

5 pm, this Saturday

First United Methodist Church, Diboll

Agenda:  Making Agape for the October Walks, singing, and communion

—Sponsorship Training—4 pm

Childcare provided, beginning for Sponsorship training and going to the end, if needed.

Please come and bring a project to make–hopefully with your reunion group.  If you are not in a reunion group, there will be many tables set up and you can join whichever project you would like to work on.  You need to bring enough stuff for 36 pilgrims–men and/or women.  For two walks that would be 72.  Then if you would like to also include the team, you can do more.

Please let me know if you are bringing a project to make so we can have enough tables set out.

My email is

Directions:  From the north:  go south on 59 to Diboll (right south of Lufkin).  Go to the 3rd light, which is Thompson, and turn right. Go to Hines, which is almost to the railroad tracks, and turn left–do NOT go across the railroad tracks. (I did not see a sign for Hines but I did see a sign for FUMC–so turn left there). You should be almost able to see the church.  The street becomes a ‘y’–stay to the right and FUMC is right there inside the ‘y’.

Coming from the south:  go north to the 1st light in Diboll, which is Thompson, and turn left.  Follow the directions above.

Can’t wait to see you all and give and receive some hugs and have some fellowship!!!!
