What is Going on Around ETEC

DeColores,

Last week I said I would like to create a weekly letter about our Community and what is going on throughout the various churches and reunion groups. This is the first input.

Ray Johnson sent this update:

“We have begun a new time for our men’s reunion group at FUMC in Nacogdoches. We meet at 5:30 pm every Monday.   The 6:15 am (yes, you read that right) reunion has been suspended I think is the proper term.  There is some discussion about re-activating it.  Come in the building at the far north entrance, next to the kitchen, right off the back parking lot. We meet in the youth room. There is irony in that……………………..we were called the 3m’s (Monday morning men) so i suppose now we are the mem — (Monday evening men)…”

Thanks Ray.  Continue to send your comments by email sunbill@livingston.net or call me direct.  My cell is 281-797-039.  I look forward to hearing from you.

Saturday morning I will be at the Church at about 7:15 am.  We are going to get signs and some other items to put up at Cho-Yeh.

If you are not attending training you are welcome to meet in the Fellowship hall and in the library.

I will be at training on Saturday with most of our reunion group.  I am not working this walk, but will be there to support the team and fill in wherever needed.

I will also be behind the scenes at the women’s walk to do the same.

We have commitments for lots of donated foods and supplies.  If you would like to provide home made baked goods for the walks, they are always welcome.   Just contact me and I will coordinate what we have and assure delivery to the walks.

Please prayerfully consider working these walks when called upon.  We can not afford for these summer walks to not be full nor staffed with the best.  It truly is time to pay it forward.

Please continue your prayers for the upcoming walks, for those receiving their call to serve, our Lay Directors, Spiritual Directors,  and The Community.   Training for the walk teams starts this Saturday – May 22nd.  If you have committed to work the walk – you have also committed to attend the training.  This is realy important to ensure a good walk.

What are your priorities? – When the Lay Directors call for you to work the walks – Think about what your priorities are before you answer.

Have you prayed today? – Try praying before you put anything in your mouth to eat or drink.  Before you leave in your vehicle.  Before you get out of bed.  Before you go to bed.  When something good or bad happens.  Sound like you will be praying a lot? – Now you get it ! ! !
